This site keeps as little as it can while making sure only you open your guides. No analytics tools and no advertising.
Your account
To open a guide you sign in with your Google account, or with your email and a password. With Google we receive your name, your email and your profile photo; with email, the name and email you type, and your password stored so that nobody can read it, not even us. With your account we keep the guides shared with you, the colours you choose and, if you ask to enroll in a guide, that request and the message you add, which only the owner of the guide reads. To keep your session safe we also keep which browser and IP address you sign in from. We never receive your Google password, nor anything from your email, files or contacts. If you want us to delete your account, write to us.
Your progress and notes, on your account
What you tick as done is saved with your account — which line of which guide, and when — so you find it on any phone or computer you sign in on. The notes you write on a guide are kept the same way, for you alone. Nobody else who reads the same guide sees your progress or your notes. They are deleted with your account.
Your devices
So that your account is not shared, we keep which devices you use it on: a random identifier in a cookie in this browser, the kind of browser and system (for example, "Chrome · Android"), and when you first and last used it. We keep no IP address with it and nothing else about the device. A device you have not used in 90 days is deleted by itself, and all of them are deleted with your account.
Four technical cookies
The site uses four cookies it needs to work securely: a session cookie, one that protects forms against forgery, one that keeps you signed in on this device so you do not have to sign in every time, and one that recognises this browser as one of your devices. They hold no profile of you and are not used to follow you. The session cookie expires on its own; the one that keeps you signed in lasts until you sign out.
YouTube videos
Videos are shown from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, and load only when you press play. Until then, nothing from YouTube is on the page. Once you play, YouTube (Google) may store data in your browser under its own privacy policy.
Google's privacy policyLinks to other sites
Some guides link to their creators' own sites. Opening one takes you away from here, and that site's own policy applies.
Visits to a guide's page
When someone who is not a reader of a guide opens its link, we add one to that guide's count for the day — once per browser per day. We keep only the number: nothing about who visited, no IP address and no extra cookie.
When you write to us
When you ask for a guide we keep what you write — the topic, your WhatsApp or email and, if you were signed in, which account — and use it only to answer you, build it and assign it to you.
